New directions in the supervision of offenders

This two-day conference/workshop brings together the world's experts on working with offenders. It is a rare opportunity to hear first hand from the leading international figures and most widely published authors in this field. It will provide information and discussion about the latest innovations and research about what works and what doesn't.

Some of the topics to be covered include: risk assessment, pro-social modelling, cognitive behavioural programs, desistance, mentoring, problem solving, work with families, good lives model and community work. It will also address how to work with different types of offenders for example drug users, sex offenders, violent offenders, older offenders and female offenders. The workshop will focus on work with individuals and groups in both community and institutional settings.

The workshop will be of interest to: probation officers, community corrections officers, juvenile justice workers, corrections' managers and administrators, academics, researchers, prison based therapists and program staff,
youth workers, community support workers and anyone else who works with offenders.
