Keynote Speakers

Professor Ogloff is a Professor of Clinical Forensic Psychology at Monash University and is also the Director of Psychological services at the Victorian Institute of Forensic Mental Health (Forensicare) Victoria. Professor Ogloff specialises in the area of mentally ill offenders, the assessment and treatment of offenders, and medico-legal matters.

Beth Wilson

Beth Wilson - Health Services Commissioner, Victoria. Will be presenting on the topic of Unreasonable Complainant Conduct. Beth is a lawyer by training and has worked mainly in administrative law. Beth has had a long-standing interest in medico/legal and ethical issues. Amongst other accomplishments, Beth was President of the Mental Health Review Board, a Senior Legal Member of the Social Security Appeals Board and WorkCare Appeals Board and a past President of the Victorian Branch of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychiatry, Psychology and Law. Beth is currently a member of the Disability Services Board.

Lisa Sprague is currently the Associate Director of University Police at Florida State University, a position she has held since May of 2003. She will speak on “Lessons learned from Virginia Tech: A new blueprint for mitigating and responding to threats on campus” The blueprint is a set of recommendations based on the analysis, through a security lens, of every review of the Virginia Tech tragedy, the deadliest campus incident in history.
